OP78 Era in RMAF

                        Salam OP DS Affendi and DS Ackbal. Syukur and congratulations on MAT's selection for both OP DSs to take up the appointments of CoAF and Dy CoAF. It was a forgone conclusion expected by many and dare I say, a wise one at that. Having worked with both OP DSs at joint level and following their illustrious rise in the RMAF, both these Foxtrot members are cut to take up these exalted posts. But the strongest indication was casted 38 years ago. Both OP DSs displayed a level of determination and perseverance despite facing daunting odds as a New Boy. Both were the personification of the esprit d'corps which distinguished them amongst the rest. Most significant is that despite their meteoric rise over the past 36 years, they remain OP Affendi and OP Ackbal, humble and inclusive till this day. I pray to a merciful Allah that He continues to bless our two OP DSs and shower them with wisdom to bring the RMAF and MAF to greater heights. Add if I may that both OP DSs remain to be the Affendi Buang and Ackbal Samad that we have loved, respected and admired for so long. Congratulations OP DS Affendi and OP DS Ackbal.
